Getting Set Up with Textel + SalonBiz

Textel Sign Up Process Overview

When you sign up for the Textel for SalonBiz integration, Textel can text enable your existing landline phone number or we can rent you a line for your business that we can text enable.  It is preferred to use your existing landline number which is preferred. Line provisioning can take 5 to 14 business days depending on the 10DLC carrier registration process.  This process is a very important step to registering with Textel.  It is also very important that you display a privacy policy on your website which is a pre-requisite for 10DLC verification.  Check out our Privacy Policy page HERE which will provide more information and assistance. 

Once your line is provisioned, you will receive a welcome email from Textel confirming setup. Shortly thereafter you will receive a series of emails that will help guide you through the set up processes. This email will provide you guidance to quickly get started with Textel and links to our Quick Start guides as well as our video training tutorials for self guidance.  You will also receive an invitation to our group onboarding webinars and more  important information to configure you Textel platform

You will then log-in to Textel and perform a few steps to activate your account for Textel and SalonBiz. You will also configure your appointment reminders, confirmations and visit follow-up texts. Please reach out to SalonBiz for support with your confirmation and reminder setup.

Logging in to Textel

  1. Your first step is to log in to Textel at app.textel.net with the administrator login email assigned by Textel and generate an API key in the API settings in Textel to sync the Textel platform with SalonBiz to manage your confirmation/reminders and customer name and mobile number sync.
  2. Navigate to the Textel Manage Account page which can be found by hovering over the user login in the upper right panel. A drop down menu will appear.
  3. Select "Manage Account" from the menu in the top right

4. On the left side of the screen you will see Settings. Within the Settings section select the Generate API button. Copy the API key provided to paste into the Admin panel in SalonBiz. For detailed instructions, CLICK HERE.  

Once entered and saved in SalonBiz, Textel will authenticate and you can begin inviting your 2 additional users, set up auto replies, response templates and keywords if you choose to them.
